Rewind to Rear-Wheel Drive

Lamborghini embraces its origins of mechanical genius with the return of a rear-wheel drive model. The Huracan Evo RWD will be arriving at the Lamborghini Perth dealership shortly and it has a lot of die-hard Lamborghini fans rejoicing with the return of a RWD.

So what is so good about a RWD?

Well in simple terms, the faster you accelerate the more your car tries to move away from the direction your accelerating. However when accelerating a rear-wheel drive vehicle, your tyres should be guiding you in a straight direction which means your acceleration should shift the nose of your car upwards which in returns transfers your weight to the back end. In a front-wheel-drive car, the faster you accelerate, the more weight wants to transfer away from your drive wheels, which are the very things that are letting you accelerate in the first place. This is why front-wheel-drive cars have their tires slip a lot under heavy acceleration.

Lamborghini have developed a unique yellow colour for the RWD Evo called Giallo Belenus. It’s matched to a dedicated leather and Alcantara interior that features Lamborghini’s HMI 8.4-inch centre console touchscreen.
